Try using the little 'tab' underneath the dragons themselves when in edit mode to drag and drop.

@Windchaser12 it's a bit clicky! Switch to your hibernal den, click the edit cog, go to "+ slots" on the top right. At the bottom of the pop-up, there's the option to buy more slots with either items or gems. The items option leads you to quests!
You can also click the cog from your lair & then switch to the hibernal den, it makes no real difference. :)

so if I put a dragon in hibernation it will open up a slot in my lair for more dragons?
and to take out that dragon in hibernation I will need an extra spot?
