Awesome! I also hope the hibernation den is up and running soon, my lair is crowded with pretties
TOPIC | New Game: Glimmer & Gloom!
I understand it but it's very hard. VERY HARD. Even on Easy...
But I LOVE IT.
But I LOVE IT.

It's not a re-color. The Shadow Sprite absolutely has the threads. Admittedly, they're difficult to see because the view is from the back and the fin-wings settle over-top of them but if you zoom in on the artwork you can clearly see the threads of the "skirt".
You can also see it, possibly more clearly, on the "Cinder Nymph" which is a recolor of the Shadow Sprite.
The faces beingarguably "wrong" is likely due to the on-going art style update the site has been under-going (as seen in certain new variations of past familiars looking different from older versions) as well as having to draw them from a different angle and with a variety of expressions.

[s]Please pardon my horrible MS Paint arrows[/s]
To my eyes, it is more difficult to see on the Cinder Nymph but that might not be the case for others.
There is absolutely a skirt on the Shadow Sprite though. The backs of the fins are a bright purple whereas the skirt is the dimmer black-purple as is also seen in the Glimmer/Gloom sprites.

@TroublesomeBread it wouldn't make sense for them to randomly introduce fins rather then continue the skirt pattern they have for the rest of the sprites, so i don't think that's likely

The shadow sprite got fins , but the light sprite not. And the light sprites skirt is used on the shadow one...

My apologies but I'm not sure I understand what point you're trying to make.
Both the Light Sprite and the Shadow Sprite have the "skirts". TroublesomeBread was erroneously stating that the Shadow Sprite did not have "the threads" (what I've been referring to as a skirt) which the images I just posted clearly show that it does.
The Shadow Sprite has bright purple fin-like wings in contrast to the Light Sprite's more "celestial" type wings. Gloom has these same fin-wings. They are harder to see because she's now facing forward but they're still there? You can see them in the sprite work.
So to go back to the original reason I posted, neither sprite is a "lazy recolor" of the other. Their key design aspects are consistent between the familiar sprite and that seen in the game.

English is not my native language. SO I was trying to point out, that Shadow and Light both got the same skirt in the game. Which doesnt make sense ,because they got different skirts in their sprite art. Shadow got fins and Light got some fuzzy stuff(I don't know, how I can describe this). They just kinda recoloured Light except for the enormous ears and thats it.
