(updated January 2019)
Q: How does this fund the bank?
A: We have personal spreadsheets where we keep track of the money and items that donors send to us. At periodic intervals we send money into the holder of the dom bank (some of us may send once a month, some of us may send biweekly per individual preference). For those of us who are collecting items, some items (like food and Baldwin) may be sold on the Auction House and that money also goes into the bank; some items (like Baldwin) may go to the bank directly for use as prizes in our in-flight and out-of-flight raffles.
_
Q: All I get for sending in is badges?
A: Yes, that's all.
_
Q: These badges are very cute but I'm poor. Can I please use them to show my support if I don't send in anything?
A: Nope, that's not how it works, sorry.
What you can do instead is link one or more of our
signature graphics (in a signature, dragon bio and/or profile) to help spread the word!
_
Q: I want to help support you but I don't have the required amount of treasure/gems/items for (DRAGON)'s Pup Scout program. Can I send (OTHER THING) instead?
A: Nope, sorry. It gets to be too much work to keep track of everything if we're taking in stuff that isn't specified on our lists.
_
Q: If I want to just send one big donation to one person instead of sending to multiple people, can I get all the badges everyone offers?
A: No, because it's too hard to keep track of things, and some badges are cumulative or for special items and can only be achieved that way.
_
Q: If I don't collect or want any badges but I just want to throw money at you for the bank, is that allowed?
A: Yes it is, and your donation will be logged and sent in when I (or another Pup Scout) sends in their payment to the bank.
_
Q: Can I get a custom badge for sending in a very large donation?
A: Pup Scouts is not presently offering this option.
_
Q: How do I know you're not just scamming us?
A: Our sheets are available for public viewing and accountability, and other people on Plague's dom team know about this program.
_
Q: Why aren't your badges more Plague aesthetic? This is too cutesy for Plague!
A: Number one, Plague is a lot more than just pustules and gore. Plague is about survival, and the best way to survive is to thrive. Everything does not have to be serious business all the time in Plague, we're allowed to have fun and like cute things! We're all Mom's smols and pups, after all.
Number two, we're trying to attract OOF support and do so in a way that generates as little negativity, controversy and drama as possible, especially because this is a fundraiser designed to be low-key and not cause a lot of stress for the people volunteering their time and hard work to manage it - we don't want people burning out because they get a lot of hate over "ew gross" or other pettiness. It is also a proven fact that on Flight Rising, people respond positively to cute things.
It doesn't mean that Plague is rebranding to be all cutesy all the time, we are still allowed to like gore and battle and everything else Plague is known for. It simply means that after some discussion, we decided this was a good approach to take to raise money that our bank needs.
_
Q: Why don't you at least put the Plague symbol on the badges?
A: They don't necessarily go with all of the badges; we have specific designs in mind.
_
Q: Why are you asking for out-of-flight donations?
A: Limiting donations to in-flight only means less potential money coming in. You can't have it both ways: either people need to be OK with all-flights fundraising or people need to stop complaining about a flight having subpar payouts and prizes for a conquest or versus. The money for all of that has to come from somewhere, and it comes from player donations. Since conquests and versus battles help the economy and benefit Flight Rising's userbase as a whole, making even a small donation to other flights is a way of ensuring those continue to happen - a way of saying "thank you", if you will.
It's also a good way of spreading positivity and happiness on FR with something cute and fun! :D

Q: I have (Constructive Criticism / Feedback).
A: Please
PM me directly rather than stating your criticism publicly in the thread. Also please be mindful of the following before you PM me with constructive criticism:
1. Taste is subjective with regards to artistic style of badges, please do not PM me just to say "the badges are ugly", etc.
2.
Not all suggestions will be implemented, as not all suggestions are practical or feasible to implement due to the fact that this is a volunteer-run program and we are relying solely on personal resources and manpower, and keeping things fairly low-key to avoid burnout. (Example: I pay for Arya's and Tierra's badges out of my own personal funds, not the bank's. We have to sell items ourselves, and it can be time-consuming to keep track of items and list them on the AH, which is why we have limitations on what can be sent in.)
3. Please do not expect an immediate response from me - it may take me awhile to get back to you as I consider my response and a tactful, professional way to word things.
4. Once I have given a response, I have limited time/energy and would prefer to not get into a long debate back and forth. Thank you in advance for understanding. :)

Q: May I RP as your Pup Scouts for fundraising activities (e.g. Arya and Tierra being involved in a raffle) or otherwise RP as them in a thread related to Plague dom or Plague fundraising?
A: The short answer is
please do not.
The longer answer is that
the Pup Scouts are not public property. While we use them for fundraising, the dragons still belong to the individual owners, who have invested in permababy scrolls and in some cases genes, and in some cases also have art and lore for them. Most of the Pup Scout owners are uncomfortable with our dragons being RPed with by people who don't own them, for various reasons, even for short/minor RPs like thread bumping.
They are not free to use by anyone and everyone, even if you intend on using the RP to help Plague. Please respect our personal property and use your own dragons for this.
_
Q: Why do you want food items in stacks?
A: Stacks are easier to keep track of and easier to sell on the AH.
_
Q: I would like to join Pup Scouts and help you guys raise money, how do I do that?
A: This program is a bit more maintenance-heavy than it might seem - prior to January 2019 we had other Pup Scout owners who had to shut down their programs due to their lack of time and ability to keep up with the program. For this reason, we have concerns about others' ability to follow through and are not letting in new Pup Scouts at this time. The best way you can support us is by donating and/or doing promotion such as one of the signature graphics in this thread.
