"That's not realistic - You are just filling your head with fantasies that never happen in the real life" Pendant heard things like that her entire childhood, but that didn't faze her, so what she likes cheesy romance stories? If the worst thing people could say about her was how much of a hopeless romantic she was then that wasn't so bad. And oh, how she loved romance, maybe that's why she became a jeweler. Most of the job was helping lovesick dragons who wanted a gift for their lovers.
But learning how to make jewelry was not easy, Pendant had probably sweat an entire river by the time her apprenticeship finished. But it was all worth it, since she was now able to set up shop and start making dazzling jewelry.
One day a diamond was brought to the clan, a beautiful diamond made of two parts, Pendant couldn't contain her excitement, oh the possibilities! However she was not the only jeweler who wanted a grab at the diamond. Locket the Spiral that kept mostly to himself. The argument was so heated the matriarch had to step in, she created a challenge, each one of the jewelers would make a piece containing one part of the diamond. It was only after accepting the challenge that the snapper realized how cute it was that each of them were making mirror pieces.
During the months of crafting Pendant started to grow fond of Locket, his dedication to the work he made was adorable to say the least.
The day arrived where they were supposed show their pieces for evaluation. Locket went first, and to the surprise of many, Pendant as well, he simply put his piece around her neck, and then looking at her eyes he confessed.
-These past few months have been the happiest of my life. I wish nothing more than to share the forge with you again, to hear your chattering, to see the fire making your scales brighter than the stars, and because of that you can keep that jewel, may it symbolize my love for you.
Pendant blushed harder than ever in her life, that was the most romantic thing she had heard, it was adorable, and she knew she felt the same. But she was to flabbergasted to say so, she, the most cheesy dragon known, couldn't say a romantic line. She barely muttered "Same" to Locket. How embarrassing, but he smiled warmly at her and she knew, she knew she was gonna be happy with him..
