B I O G R A P H Y

They were three eggs, mere hatchlings who did nothing wrong. Lost and Abandoned died nameless because of a moment of carelessness. Aelwen only reached them when it was too late; the two already dead from falling from such height. The task of carrying their bodies to the small, shaded seclude atop the cliffs fell on him and he did so with immense gentleness. They will not be left nameless, for he gave them names fitting for the state they were found in; Lost and Abandoned.

He took the last surviving girl with him, back to his home clan, back to where he believed they both belong. A small group of dragons that seemed to slowly take over this place did not greet them, but seeing the small hatchling made some of his older friends hearts melt. The Council concluded after a few hours that small girl would be named Forgiven. The thought of the girl being accepted made Aelwen sigh with relief, but not for long; for the girl was not let back in the clan after all, merely forgiven for "being found", as if her abandonment had not been their deed. She was banished right as the agreement was reached; she was to serve the Windsinger. Aelwen knew serving a deity was no job for a mere hatchling; many older dragons had troubles serving their deities (!), but he had no say in the matter. Filled with grief, he looked on as Forgiven was dragged away before turning around and heading back to the bottom of the canyons, determined to make it his new home and never to return to the plains above.
