Biography
He went blind when he was young and was called forsaken by the Lightweaver. Uzarziel paid them no mind because he was not in darkness but blinded by light.
From the day he was born he tried to cover his little eyes every morning when the first rays of light shown. The caretakers tried their best to help him but that didn't stop the whispers of the other parents murmuring about an Acolight shying away from the sun itself.
"Everything is too bright it hurts!" He would come cry out when he learned to speak. It was strange to see him walk around with his eyes shut and he unsettled guests; so he was given veils as he grew.
Then he started to see visions. Things that existed in the material world where he was but the things moving had not happened yet. At first it started simple. When in the foyer he could see two mass figures of moving light and hear distorted noises. Later he would find that a visitor came along who was an old friend of another. Sometimes when he was in the shade outside he would see when the messenger dragons would come by. A strange little blind coatl who would look in seemingly random directions. Sometimes he would lock himself in his room muttering about too much light moving around. In those early years he dreaded the festivals and ceremonies. He never made many friends.
As he grew of age he sought out the Water dragons of the Spiral Keep for help. Uzarziel traveled alone to the bottom of the sea hoping for a new sense of control in his life. There the old clans resided. Some even since the dawn of dragonkind. Help and advice was given through interest by seers, shamans, and oracles within the Keep where he sought an answer.
They encouraged him to accept his ability but left it up to him alone to see it as a gift or a curse. They gave him special veiled clothing that was made with talismans of water magic. The outfit was to help ease the intensity of his sight and give home more control of what he saw. He could choose when to use his powers now much to his relief.
The lanterns that accompany him everywhere are of Uzarziel's own creation. He didn't want to dread festivals anymore and was tired of hiding away during these times, especially in his own home during Brightshine Jubilee. Every year he would watch the lanterns float in away in the breeze above all the chaos. His own lanterns are filled with pockets of his own seer magic that the water enchantments had taken nicely to.
He says that if you look into one of his lanterns its possible to see your own future. Uzarziel is much happier these days.
