Before Galiwyr was a wildclaw, he was a guardian, and he had a charge. It was secrets - he guarded secrets. Whenever one was entrusted to him, it was his divine duty to keep them untold for as long as they were, indeed, secrets.. and this made him a splendid messenger, fiercely protective of his quarry and absolutely loyal to his clients. It also made him easily exploited. He found himself blackmailed by a specific dragon who knew a secret he was guarding... and who wanted to steal a message he was also guarding.

He's a silent dragon now, and hold a certain bitterness towards guardians with charges that are easy to safekeep. He returned home with his breed changed and his former pride completely shattered. He keeps to himself. Delivers messages for his clan. Weaves embroidery into the leaf nest he has sewn together from the leaves of the home tree. He still has his connections dotted across the world. He still has a use to his family. He still has a place.

Sometimes - slightly more often lately - it feels... almost good enough. Almost.
