Ichigo

A dragon from Hitsugaya's side of the multiverse. Has a "saving people" thing and boy is he relentless about it. Befriend this kid and you can be sure he'll walk through Hell and take down a god to protect you. Weirdly capable with a sword despite not having had much training, and displays the same strange competence with tooth and claw despite not having been a dragon. Everyone's come to accept that this is just how Ichigo works at this point.

ridiculously strong, good moral compass, genuinely compassionate and empathetic toward others who need it (ex. souls of dead kids), doesn't like fighting dirty/wants to win fairly, can be a bit blunt and disrespectful. doesn't use honorifics much unless he has real respect for someone (ex. Yoruichi and Rangiku both get "-san"), and especially doesn't use honorifics for people he's close to (Rukia), people he considers close/has sympathy for and who probably consider him close even if they won't admit it and will be dragged into friendship kicking and screaming (Hitsugaya), and people who are annoyed by said lack of honorifics (Byakuya).

stubborn, hot-headed and impulsive, just wants to protect his town and those close to him, take one of his friends away and he will 100% fight everything in his path to get them back. gets depressed and self-loathing whenever he loses a major battle or lets someone down.

used to be a really happy kid until his mom died and he thought it was his fault, stopped smiling all the time and now has a near permanent scowl. got a lot of flak for his unusual hair color back in his home world and was seen as a punk, so he's accustomed to people looking to pick a fight, but he tried to keep up his grades and be a good student so his teachers didn't have something to hang over him (and he actually does fairly well, when he's not also busy fighting monster ghosts). easily flustered and uncomfortable around women in revealing clothing or none at all, which gets him teased by Yoruichi and Rangiku quite a bit.

finds himself pretty free of his usual teenage troubles in Byzmara, given that he doesn't have a high school to go to here and there's no shortage of people who know his reputation and connection to the City Guard. the downside of that is he has to deal with troubles more in the vein of shinigami work; with Byzmara's freaky magic pulling things in from other universes, there's a constant level of moderate danger, and fighting anything now is twice as unpredictable. nonetheless, Ichigo has stepped up as one of the city's protectors and largely treats it as a second Karakura Town - this is his home, he has people he cares about here, and if anyone wants to mess with it, they'll have to mess with him.
