There are only hushed whispers here

There are tales of a clan sleeping deep inside the tangled wood that no one has seen, but many have heard of the stories. If a dragon is lost in the deepest grove and brambles seeking refuge from some dire consequence, they will be given shelter by this clan if they whisper a secret into a purple clover and let it be drifted into the wind. Escorts will come out of the dark to take them to a hidden land where they will be safe.

Of course, these are only stories. Made up to explain why missing dragons that head into the dark woods suddenly pop back up months later with no explanation, usually avoiding some kind of danger by coincidence.

But I’m here to tell you that IF this clan existed, it’s probably best you don’t try to nose your way into the matter. What kind of unsavory things go on in there are….probably best kept secret for the dark.
