In the Beginning, Shadowbinder only had her Nocturnes. She loved her children, but soon enough, other Dragons began to explore her Tangled Woods. These Dragons didn't always make it out again. Shadowbinder took their bones and used her magic to Reincarnate the Dragons with new souls. Bones are not the only thing Shadowbinder used. Lost or Dead Eggs found their way into her Forum as well, and these lost Eggs were dipped in the Crescent pool to soak up her Magic, reforming the baby dragon within. These 'parent-less' Dragons and Hatchlings show their origins by their purple eyes.

LORE
Founded by "The Gentle Lady" Tisima, and her Mate JackPumpkin, Night Nest Began as just a small group of Dragons, learning to trust eachother and rely on eachother as they discovered more about the world around them. Night Nest got it's name from the many, many night-colored hatchlings found lost in the while during those first few weeks, and the name has Stuck ever since.

Night Nest has grown considerably since those first weeks. They've had many Dragons come and Go, and Few remain. During one of their Low points for members, when the Clan was mostly Fae children of Tisima and JackPumpkin, a Guardian male named Centauri and a Spiral Female named Cerciae entered the Nest in need of a shelter fro mthe Tangled Woods' tricky ways. Centauri and Cerciae discovered their desires to prove to the world they're worth more then anyone seems to think, they made a pact to take over the Night Nest.

Centauri and Cerciae decided to do this with brute force, and a bit of trickery of their own. Being of Ice nd Nature, both Dragons came to the conclusion that spreading their influance could only aid their cause, so they decided to have children together, children who would grow and aid them in taking over the Nest.

They had 5 Guardian children. These children were used to take out one of the only obstacles that might have stood in their way, a Guardian male named Lunar. The 5 Guardian children were raised into Young Adults, and when Tisima went to look for a larger lair for everyone, The Legacy of Frost made it's move and ganged up on Lunar while he was out away from the Nest. Lunar has yet to return.

When Tisima returned, Centauri and his 5 children informed the Matriarch that if she did not step down and give power over the clan to their family, then her Fae Children and Grandchildren would be harmed. Tisima stepped down to protect her family from harm. The Legacy of Frost has now reigned for Three Generations, the newest Generation is almost ready to choose an Heir.

Under the rule of the Second Generation (Lord Kash), Many new Eggs found their way into the Nest. Originally Lords Centauri and Kash didn't want more Dragons to rule over, seeing as their Rule was still tentatively new, but they were convinced that maybe one day one of the Nocturnes would be a suitable mate for one of their children.

The Nocturnes were raised by Tisima and the rest of the lair, and are trying to find a way out from under the Legacy of Frost's Rule, training themselves to fight and looking for Dragons who might be able to help their cause.

The Night Nest
The Night Nest consists of around 5 separate flocks, all of them consisting of dragons on the smaller side - Fae and Nocturne. This is the main clan. They are currently being held under the control of the second clan of Night Nest - The Legacy of Frost clan.

Being mostly small dragons, they are being held under threat of harm to the most vulnerable members, a threat backed by the 'Overlords' being all Guardian dragons, the largest breed.

While Fae can be hard to catch, a Guardian dosn't have to exert much strength to hurt one once it is caught, it is this logic that keeps Tisima from fighting for her clan, since most of her family are Fae.

The Night Nest Has a Secret, The Auroras are planning to retake the Clan from the Overlords, by finding someone who can help them and go against the Legacy of Frost on a more even playing field.

The Legacy of Frost
The Legacy of Frost is a small but mighty clan who took over the Night Nest. While Tisima was out looking for a larger place for everyone, Ice-Lord Centauri and his Lady, Cerciae, corralled all the smaller fae of the Nest.

They threatening to harm the fae if the Guardian members of the Night Nest didn't do as they were told. The Legacy of Frost continues to hold it's power through underhanded tactics, and continued to grow it's numbers through new generations.

The Legacy of Frost is also responsible for the Disappearance of Lunar, the only Guardian in Night Nest who could have tipped the scales of their ambush tactics to gain control of the Nest.

FACTIONS

Song Flock
The Song Flock is the soul of the Night Nest. The matriarch is a Guardian dragon called "The Gentle Lady", her name is Tisima. She and her mate JackPumpkin were both reborn through the magic of Shadowbinder from the bones of who they used to be. They do not remember their former lives, though breed specifics such as fae monotone and guardians keeping charges, remain. They are quite happy together, and have raised two nests of young together. Their children and grandchildren ad nausium make up the family flock, which is called the Song Flock.

The Study of Stars
The Study of Stars flock is the heart of the Night Nest. This flock consists of Dragons colored like the night sky, and is by far the largest of the flocks.Currently without an official leader, Tisima of the Song Flock has taken on the job.Tisima's title of "The Gentle Lady" comes from her leadership despite not wanting to lead. This flock mostly runs itself and goes to Tisima for difficult choice or arguments. They are looking for a strong and competent leader.

The Auroras
Entering the Night Nest during the rule of Overlord Kash, this colony of Nocturnes consists of 13 members. Lead by Staria and raised by the rest of the Night Nest under the reluctiant acceptiance of the Overlords Centauri and Kash. The Auroras are searching for a way to free their home from the tyranny they were hatched under.
