Apparently people actually read this sometimes? My dragon clan is a sprawling story-in-progress and I'm very attached to my little darlings. I keep track of everyone's life events through this profile and their individual information boxes. If you've bought one of my dragons, I hope they have a long, happy life in their new home! (In a pinch -- at least name them, pretty please?) And dragons who have left my lair are always welcome to come home again!

I'm happy to be approached for studding if there's someone in my lair you fancy. It's unlikely I'll sell anyone but I don't mind you asking.

This clan established by the gentle giant Andry and his spitfire mate, Viris, who never expected to mate with a fluffy lunkhead like Andry but fell for him when he took her in after her own clan cast her out. They have adopted a hatchling named Roskle and are now incubating their first clutch of eggs.

10/26/13 -- Andry and Roskle happened upon Diana at the auction house and fell in love -- she's just so pretty and sweet! Viris is... surprised, to say the least, especially with their own eggs hatching so soon, but maybe Diana can be a helper for her. It's nice having another female around. Welcome to the family, Diana!

(We also have two familiars in the family now, a leafy moth for Andry and a wildwood owl for Roskle.)

Later same day -- Surprise! Xander is Andry's son from a pre-Viris relationship. Andry didn't know he existed, so it's quite a shock to him and Viris both, especially when they just adopted Diana and their own eggs are hatching very soon. But Xander is already showing signs of being very sensitive and intelligent, and getting along well with Roskle and Diana, so hopefully things will smooth themselves out.

10/27/13 -- The family discovered an abandoned egg while scavenging in the Shadow region, and now have a surprise addition to their ranks! His egg was poorly cared for, of course, so right now he's little and sickly, but he's clearly a fiery little guy underneath -- that and his distinctive coloration inspired the name Wasabi!

(Viris is getting VERY put out about all these surprise babies, when her own eggs have yet to even hatch. Andry is under strict orders not to bring ANYTHING else home for quite some time!)

10/28/13 -- New additions!

Adopted from Dracoangelica's clan, a close ally of ours! Wasabi needed other Fae to socialize with, considering the distinctive Fae temperament and communication methods. Already the two of them are thick as thieves and people are calling them "the twins"! Juniper is considerably bolder and more active than little Wasabi.

Andry and Viris's first hatching! Overwhelmed by the number of babies in her clan, Viris has decided to keep only one of the hatchlings, Jade. The other two, Rubeus and Amber, will be given to an extended-family clan (Christopher) as soon as he gets a lair established.

Adopted from the Auction House -- Arabella, a lovely baby Pearlcatcher! Even Viris, who would normally be beside herself at Andry bringing home another baby, is glad to see Arabella. Pearlcatchers bring prestige and prosperity to any lair.


10/29/13 -- Adults at last! Today Andry and Viris took in two refugees from a dissolving clan. Ulric the fae male and Mortis the tundra male may not be staying permanently, but for now they're glad to help out with the babies in exchange for a temporary home. It's especially nice for Wasabi and Juniper to have an adult Fae around.

In addition, Roskle finally hit his growth spurt, and is now big enough to compete in the Coliseum! Fighting doesn't come very naturally to him, but he's eager to help out with the family finances. And maybe get away from all the squalling hatchlings for a while...

10/31/13 -- Viris can blame Jade and Arabella for this one -- when they heard Aunt Kitty was selling their playmate Candyfloss, they begged and begged for her to come live with them. Even Viris has to admit she has good genes, but she's certainly a hyperactive little thing -- like she's running on pure sugar!

11/1/13 -- Another Fae male foundling! What are the odds? Duskling's colors may seem drab, but his ember-like eyes make him compelling to look at anyway. Though physically much stronger than Wasabi was at hatching, Duskling is strangely quiet for a Fae. In fact... it's almost creepy.

11/3/13 -- Katrine and Ulric saw each other across a crowded Auction House, and it was love at first sight. She's nervous about joining a new clan, especially one where she's expected to mother all the other Fae, but she's excited about the new eggs she's incubating, and it looks like she might be the one to draw Duskling out of his shell.

11/8/13 -- Ulric and Katrine's hatchlings arrived today! Jakob will be staying with his parents' clan, while his sister Harmony was adopted by our allies in the Dracoangelica clan. Katrine, though she's certain Harmony will be loved and cared for, she was hit harder by the loss of her daughter than anyone expected. Fortunately, the adoption of little Autumn has done a lot to ease her pain.

While the family was looking for a new daughter for Katrine, they also found Tiggaroth. Andry always said he'd take anyone but a Plague dragon, but this time, to everyone's surprise, it was Viris who fell in love with the little spiral. His orange-striped pattern and boundless energy have already earned him the nickname Tigger; unfortunately, he's not accustomed to the Andriora clan's exuberant, chaotic affection and is especially overwhelmed by Jade and Candyfloss's attempts to coddle and coo over him. Thus far, the only one he really gets along with is strange, silent, antisocial Duskling!

11/10/13 -- Additions to the clan! Piano is an adoptee from allied clan Dracoangelica; thus far she promises to be the opposite of her soft, quiet name, with a loud laugh and tromping footsteps that put Arabella's teeth on edge. Adult Spiral Lykiro isn't decreasing the chaos either! His home clan grew crowded, so Lykiro set off on his own, only to find independence lonely and dull. He certainly won't find Andriora to be either!

11/19/13 -- The Clan is in a state of crisis. The arrival of several nests of eggs, though greeted joyfully, has put quite a squeeze on the available space. All the dragons of Andriora and Curmudgeon are laboring to earn enough treasure to expand the lair, and several are considering moving out. Jakob, no longer a child, is eager to see the world, and seeking a situation; two of Xander and Diana's "Lavender Girls" have volunteered to be fostered elsewhere, and all three of Wasabi and Jade's hatchlings have gone to Dracoangelica's newly-opened academy, there to learn Arcane magic and eventually serve the Arcanist. Even this is barely enough -- Juniper and Candyfloss will have three eggs hatch tomorrow, and two new members of Clan Curmudgeon are due to arrive!

11/21/13 -- The space squeeze continues. Juni and Candy's babies have hatched, one joining Clan Curmudgeon and one seeking an adoptive home elsewhere. Esmeralda and her daughter Sapphire, the new Curmudgeons, are sharing one tiny den, as are the two very unexpected arrivals -- Borealis, a beautiful young male Tundra, and his adopted little brother, Mickey. In addition, Ophelia and Juliet, after a brief foray into the outside world, have come straight back again. Juliet found herself unexpectedly, devastatingly homesick; she's not at all ready to leave after all. She's joined up with Clan Curmudgeon, which gives her a certain amount of independence while still keeping her by the family hearth, so to speak. Ophelia, on the other hand, is more than ready to go out into the world, but the search for her charge proved fruitless. As we speak she is preparing another expedition -- she hopes to leave before Lykiro and Katrine's eggs hatch, to make room for the new babies.

11/30/13 -- Several comings and goings in the clan! Ophelia finally find her charge -- a herd of dwarf unicorns on a forest island sacred to the Tidelord. She has entered his service in order to guard her new friends! Her sisters and parents miss her terribly, but she writes to them frequently and is very happy in her new situation. Jakob, inspired by Ophelia's example, has also gone to serve the Tidelord as a traveling scholar and historian; he gets to see the world just as he always wanted. Ulric and Katrine bravely wish him the best, and cling all the harder to their adopted daughter, Autumn, to fill the gap of his absence.

There have been arrivals, too -- Arabella returned from her honeymoon with Oratorio, bringing three extraordinarily beautiful hatchlings. Clan Curmudgeon has taken responsibility for young Hades, while Belladonna and Arianna remain with their mother. Damiano is excited to have more pearlies around! Andry and Aria's eggs hatched as well, son Andrew accompanying his mother back to Clan Dracoangelica, daughter Sasha remaining here, and already talking of feeling a call to the Tidelord's service.

Roskle and Diana's time together has yielded two daughters; Guardian PJ and a little snapper. Roskle, now able to accept that he and Diana have had all the time together they are likely to have, is considering leaving with his snapper daughter, but is still making up his mind.

12/4/2013 -- The space crisis has been eased somewhat by the departure of Ursula -- who decided to change not only her clan but her breed (to tundra) and her name (to Vesta) (Was it something we said?) -- and her brother Lukas, who, feeling lost and unsure what to do with his life, has found purpose in the service of the Tidelord.

12/8/13 -- The clan has moved to a more spacious lair in the Fishspine Reef! Everyone is breathing easier, though there still isn't much room to spare. Roskle and his daughter Snapple have gone to help Ophelia herd her sacred unicorns. Wise, quiet Sasha, daughter of Andry and Aria, has fulfilled her dream of serving the Tidelord, as has her close friend and foster sister, foundling Christmas, who just departed today to become a holy warrior.

Piano will be returning soon from an exchange with Clan Dracoangelica; she got to observe the magic school there while Dracoangelica's Elsa mated with Damiano. Elsa and her two gorgeous babies will be heading home soon, of course; she and Damiano are quite sorry to be parted, but Andry counsels them to focus on being grateful to have had such a pleasant first-mating experience. They are welcome to stay in touch, and seek more of each other's company later.

The clan has also added a pair of Skydancers to their number! Full-grown Molly is a hardcore Goth trapped in a cotton-candy body, and not very happy to have been auctioned from her home clan. She has yet to settle in. Male Twilight is still a hatchling, and more willing to make friends.

12/14/13 -- The clan is devastated and grieving, huddling on cold shores as they attempt to rebuild their lair, which collapsed and flooded after a terrible earthquake. Piano and Benvolio are the family's heroes right now, having worked tirelessly to rescue dragons and familiars from the rubble. Several were hurt, but only one was lost; Lysander, who was trying to help Autumn rescue their eggs from the nesting grounds. (Those eggs have now hatched, as well as Duskling and Desdemona's; the hatchlings are being cared for somewhat distractedly, under the circumstances, but conscientiously as can be managed.)

Piano was badly injured, and is under Cordelia's intense care; everyone looks to Benvolio to help them rebuild.

12/28/13 -- The basic structure of the lair is rebuilt, enough to be livable, and even somewhat larger than before; the celebration party led to one new pairing among the dragons, young Mickey and PJ, and one drunken hook-up between Tiggaroth and Piano. The five resulting hatchlings are making life interesting as rebuilding continues.

Lykiro has left the clan, unable to bear being tied down any longer; to the surprise of many, his beloved daughter Seraphina elected to stay. It's been very painful for them to separate, but 'Phina wants a stable life; she and her father both promise to keep in close contact.

Even more surprising was Xander's departure; his relationship with Diana had been cooling for some time. Though they still love each other deeply, it's more as friends now than lovers, and Xander has decided to go live with his daughter Ophelia on the island of holy unicorns.

In the meantime, there have been several arrivals; the earthquake left a lot of dragons unsettled and homeless, so the new rooms of the rebuilt lair have quickly filled with a pair of Imperials, two pearlcatcher hatchlings, and one baby wildclaw. Clan Andriora continues to grow!

1/16/14 -- Andry, who was once a medic in the Tidelord's army, has been contacted by his former commanders and asked if he will consent to being a trainer -- in the comfort of his own home, just one or two students at a time. He will, of course, be compensated. Andry is thrilled to agree; he enjoys teaching, misses his days as a medic, and is glad to find a source of revenue for the clan!

2/5/14 -- To everyone's surprise, a special package arrived from Ophelia today -- a baby unicorn! She's an orphan from Ophelia's herd, and needs round-the-clock care that she can't provide. The dragons of the clan are more than happy to help! While they debated who should have the unicorn as their bonded familiar, the unicorn chose for herself -- the youngest member of the clan, little Fiametta. Which of course means Arabella will be taking care of them both, sigh. She has informed Hercules in no uncertain terms that he is to be extremely helpful!

2/12/14 -- The Clan has been given a mission from the Tidelord; orders to engage in a Legacy Quest to improve the quality of the clan. Wasabi was chosen as the first Legacy Champion; the clan has engaged a mate for him, and their eggs are incubating. Time and the best efforts of the clan will tell whether they achieve the water-coatl the Tidelord expects of them -- and what the consequences will be if they do, or don't!

4/29/14 -- There is much joy in the clan as they celebrate their first Wavecrest Saturnalia! Key to the celebration are Rochester, the latest member of their Legacy Quest (whose goals have changed somewhat), and Proteus, their god-sent liasion to the Tidelord. There are quite a few new members of the clan to be celebrated at this time as well; since Clan Curmudgeon finally acquired a lair of their own, Andriora has been able to welcome quite a few new faces!

5/28/16 -- After a long period of hibernation, Clan Andriora has wakened again! Sadly, several members of the Clan could not be wakened; they have been exalted to the Tidelord so they wouldn't starve. All hail the Tidelord's mercy.
