Insomnimom's Clan

Cast out of their original clan when they were barely old enough to survive, these two found themselves at the edge of a deserted town. Ancient magics had preserved it and the secret entrance to the vast cave which was hidden beneath the water. After discovering the cave, Marina and Logan became the accidental caretakers. Their approach to government is rather democratic, which has attracted wanderers and stragglers from all across Sorneith.

Although Covella is not a particularly violent clan, Aisling and Noelle spend their time training dragons to send to the Tidelord's service or hunting to keep the clan fed. They are deeply in love (after a long courtship). They often make nests with the strongest unattached males of the clan, then train the hatchlings diligently so that they will serve the Tidelord well. Through all this, their hearts belong to each other.

A strange sect of the Tidelord's priesthood, these dragons serve the Moon, whom they believe to be the Tidelord's ancient lost love. Their goal is to summon an incarnation of the Moon. To what end, no one is entirely sure. The Moonseekers are a secretive group, but they are friendly and kind. Their main responsibility in the clan is to prepare dragons for exaltation.

The Tea-painted dragons. They are merchants with ties all over the land. Their wealth and cunning have helped Clan Covella become influential in local circles. Their family lore claims that their coloring comes from an ancient ancestor who was caught by a spell that shrunk her to the size of a mouse. During her struggle to regain her true size, she fell into a cup of tea. When she broke the spell, she decided to wear the tea-stains proudly as a reminder of what she had been through. All recognized heirs to the family must have this coloring.
