In the depths of the Viridian Labyrinth, a cave nearly forgotten by time serves as home to followers of the ancient fallen deity, Shathar. Hidden deeper than sunlight can reach, the cavern known as the Champion’s Grove is illuminated by the thousands of fiery orange fireflies flickering through its massive trees. A lake, shallow but sparkling with the reflection of the large blue crystals on the shore seems to glow rhythmically along with the icy crystalline veins threading through the cave walls. Vines of flowers hang from tree branches, and a few are even dotted with exotic fruit. Though the trees are tall, there is ample space above for the dragons to fly with ease. The Grove is self-sustaining, and its members rarely have the need or desire to venture outside. The vast majority of the lair’s dragons are cool tones and prefer the wetter, more humid environment inside to the heat of the sun. As there is no real purpose to leaving the Grove, members are expected to carry out their duties with efficiency and dedication. Status, roles, and ranks are clearly set and valued highly; a dragon that is not able to perform is given little grace. In this case, they are either exiled or sent to serve the Gladekeeper. Dragons not hatched in the lair can NOT be forced to serve the Gladekeeper - they can only be removed. However, any born to two dragons from the Grove can choose to serve upon reaching full maturity. [This is a non-exalting Lair]
