That dragon that made you love...
Delphi's Clan
SNAPPERGOGGLES. Your argument is irrelevant.
Clan Info
PLAGUE: the friendly, family flight!
Unattended children will be thrown from Rotrock Rim.
Unsolicited roleplaying PMs will be given cookies.
Fair warning clan lore may be less family friendly than advertised.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If I don't get back to you right away, or even for a long while, I apologize! I am full of cancer and working 12+ hour days 7 days a week and come home exhausted and mentally drained. I am not ignoring you, I am simply full of CAN'T. Don't be afraid to poke me and remind me to respond when I have energy. =)
Clan Information:
Delphi is a massive clan, represented not by a single lair but by a series of them dotted throughout a territory that sprawls across the many regions of the Scarred Wastelands.
Visitors over land are likely to encounter roving patrols of Snappers, while those approaching from the air will encounter decidedly more aggressive patrols of another sort.
Hibernal Lair and dragons therein are ABSOLUTELY still active members of the clan for story/rp/various lore purposes.
Here to figure out why your hatchling has a bite taken out of them?
Delphi is a lore lair that believes in tough love!
In Delphi, no one is kept who weakens the clan overall, and it's tradition that all new hatchlings are given a bite by the clan matriarch, Sitala, and sent out into the wilds of the Scarred Wastelands to fend for themselves. They aren't allowed to return until they've survived to adulthood—to try to do so is seen as valuing themselves over the group; believing that the group should have to carry a weak member who can't or doesn't contribute. The injury is meant to make this more challenging, from the perspective that if they can survive such terrible tribulations as a wee baby then nothing life throws at them later could possibly hold them back. It's absolutely done from a place of love: the idea is to make them strong by surviving on their own under such grueling circumstances, survival in the face of insurmountable odds being the heart of Plague Flight. Sitala believes that after this, anything else life throws at them will not only be easier, but a more joyful time. To those children who survive, she is brimming with pride and affection...whether or not they ever come back to the clan or forgive her for putting them through what she did.
Of course as first memories go, it means that not a lot of babies 'want to come back'. It's just a little bit of clan culture lore that also gives a reason for so many of my babies to just show up in other clans. Feel free to include or disregard this background in your personal lore for your dragon as please you!
