PS. fun facts during this process i discovered that male-posed imperials have teeny tiny little eartufts that the female-posed and hatchling artwork don't have????? Like I knew imperials had different whisker counts and beard sizes and stuff but????? oAo I'VE NEVER SEEN THE LITTLE EAR TUFTS BEFORE ON THEM it's wild. tfw you've been here since 2013 and yet, lolwhut male-posed imperials have EAR TUFTS???? but also the scrying workshop image's imperial also confirms that and i'm like WELL.... I'VE LEARNED SOMETHING NEW????????

-art to be honest. v__v; BUT I'm glad you like the iteration on yours. :'D Koi took a hot second to render, but let me tell you FLAIR TOOK EVEN MORE EFFORT LIKE WOW OKAY i think there's fricking eight layers for Flair?¿?¿ like go look at Flair Radioactive, it has like SO MANY COLORS and I was setting up my file to be able to accommodate Flair when it has more color tones in it and I'm just like omgggg. Meanwhile the Koi, or the way I did it, has like uhh ... wait actually I think it had 10 layers to it now that I think about it. *laughs nervously*

Well anyways it sure does give me a hecka appreciation for the staff artists. THEY BE WORKIN' REAL HARD TO MAKE COOL GENES they probably know how to streamline layers better than i do but LOL

The dragon had Toxin and indeed had Cream as a secondary. ;w; I genuinely thought the dragon was SO PRETTY and frankly I wish I'd named it before selling because the exalter didn't name it LOL, and I'm like well, heck whoops. To be honest that left me feeling so bummed out that it's the sole reason why I didn't continue making that adoptable/art for like...... a REALLY long time (like, this adoptable was made in 2020 - 4 years ago). I was just sooo discouraged. I was like was my art not good enough??? D: I don't understand why the person just instantly trashed it. ;w;?? i get its theirs to do as they want but it made me feel really, really unconfident in my-

i get to a gem gene and my dedication to saving up for it goes out the window because it's not like Instant Rewards so How Can My Brain Picture That Far Off shenanigans. like ughhh working up towards something slowly AGITATES THE FLYING HECKO OUT OF ME like i ammmm noooot a patient person, i get so restless and ndgfjfds;lkjsfg When things take too long I get like, distressed actually?? i know some people love the journey of getting there but I'm just too fidgety for that and ghhghhgh

so like saving up for some of the things that just take longer is a struggle because my brain just??? wants to freaking impulse buy LOL???? i'm like "what if instead of gem gene i impulse buy another project i don't need" it's ghfjsgljhlskfg WHY CAN'T MY BRAIN FOCUS ON STUFF WHEN IT TAKES SLIGHTLY LONGER it's unreal help

Yeah like that fortune rubs me the wrong way, juuuust a little lol?? Like not fighting against the grain is important in some ways for harmony, and to be content/tranquil with yourself and the world around you, but giving up ALL CONTROL just sounds really uh... i don't know how to explain it other than "concerning"? I worry slightly for someone in a position like that, if that makes sense. people having agency and having a voice/say in their environment and life is really freaking important and it's not okay for others and everything else to basically DICTATE that for them?? that just... doesn't sound good. it worries me tbh.

Luckily with the disability rep that recent news post was part 2 of it so we have a nice chunk of colors to choose from. BUT I REALLY DO WISH IT CAME IN MORE VIBRANT COLORS because most of it is... really muted in tone actually??? And a lot of my guys are like super colorful, you know??? AHHH. But it's super good. I hope we get more of that not gonna lie?? I wonder if they'd ever be willing to do stuff like wheelchairs. I don't know how they'd fit it on the canvas especially for the flying ones but like Susie (the Valentines NPC) has one for instance...
