All hatchlings in my lair are for sale and all named adults not wearing apparel are for sale for dom battle purposes. If you purchase an adult dragon for other purposes and wish to rename it please message me and I will send you a renaming scroll

The Caravan Rocksfall is one of the many nomadic clans of the Shattered Plain, eternally journeying from one end of the Plain to the other, following ancient Snapper paths from the places where the deeper earth clans make their lair and the edge of Earth Flight territory. Lead by the Wind Element Wildclaw Ivory this clan is known for being comprised of dragons of all breeds and lairs and for the colored Mantles that denote status within the Caravan. Every year the Caravan makes a journey from the great markets at the edge of Earth Flight territory, where they buy various manufactured goods and sell gemstones and other treasures of the earth to the Earth Flight Lairs at the Cairnstone Rest where they trade these manufactured goods for gemstones and thus continue a vast cycle. Nesting grounds are maintained at the twin great stone lairs of Home Rock and New Home where parents will wait out a cycle to nurse and raise their young. The grown hatchlings will make a journey from one of the stone lairs to the other. If in this time they prove indispensable to the Caravan they are offered the Mantle of Adulthood, if not they are exalted or contracted to other clans for treasure and new dragons bought on as help. Life in the Caravan is tough and the dragons that comprise it are ever changing.

Mantles
A dragons role in the Caravan can be deduced from the color of their Mantle. Mantles are bestowed upon a dragon when they prove their worth to the clan, not when they age from hatchling to adult. Many dragons without Mantles will wear Highnoon Hanks instead to denote they are considered children of the Caravan. Any dragon without a Mantle is treated as a child regardless of age and has little to no influence on clan proceedings.

Twice-Dyed Mantle
The most difficult to manufacture Mantle, both for the rarity of the bright blue dyes and the skill needed to create the blending. The Twice-Dyed Mantle indicates the head of the Caravan and their mate; the ultimate authorities within the Caravan. They are said to have a natural quality of leadership.

Red Mantle
Due to the isolated environment and the harshness of life on the road battling and bloodshed are looked down on as dirty professions that bring disease. The Red Mantle indicates a dragon that has matyred themselves by doing a job that involves them in blood. They are respected but avoided lest the taint of death that comes from spilling blood, known as Dampf, spreads bad luck to other dragons.

Peacebringer's Mantle
This pure white mantle represents a dragon that is revered for their intellect rather than their strength. The white cloth is only worn by Lorekeepers and Teachers who improve the Caravan through knowledge. They are not required to do physical labor but compile information such as maps, that is of benefit to the Caravan.

Mysterious Mantle
This black cloth is only worn by those chosen representatives of the dragon gods, those who deal in the mysteries of life and death and the creation of dragonkind. Midwives, priests, exalters, all those that deal with the mysteries of life and death wear this mantle as a sign of pride. Like those of the Red Mantle they are respected for their role but feared for their knowledge and closeness to the newborn and newly dead. They are known as those who can nullify Dampf.

Whisperer's Mantle
These light colored Mantles are rarely seen in the Caravan, they represent the elderly or deformed who have earned a place in the Caravan but are unable to perform physical labor or the intellectual tasks of the White Mantled and are cared for out of respect for what they have done for the Caravan instead of what they are capable of doing. Many dragons chose to be exalted rather than wear the turquoise mantle.

Burlap Mantle
The most commonly seen in the Caravan this soft brown mantle represents an adult dragon, fit of body and mind who is essential for the workings of the Caravan. One wearing a Burlap Mantle has been accepted as one of them by the Caravan and has their own wagon and sleeping space in both Lairs. They can advice the Caravan Leader on things such as trade deals and make requests.

Life in the Caravan
Caravan Rocksfall prides itself on efficiency. Everything is functional, no dragon is not necessary and whatever excess there is is trimmed away then sold. Resources are scarce during the journey between Home Rock and New Home and the Caravan is reliant on it's gatherers to get enough food to last between one journey and the next. Many dragons join and leave the Caravan, even those who have been there for a long time, meaning that the members of the Caravan are bonded through shared experience of the journey rather than factors of birth. Every dragon views their time in the Caravan as a temporary stage. After the growing threat of Beastclan invasion became prominent the Caravan has made a hidden vow to never let their numbers exceed thirty; any dragons beyond the thirty mantled will move on from the Caravan to support the dragon deities in their war.
Each adult of the Caravan has their own wagon for carrying their individual trade goods. Maintenance of the Wagon is part of their duties to the Caravan along with bringing of profit. Those who cannot do either can chose to accept the help of others and the Whisperer's Mantle or move on to another Lair or to serve the Earthshaker. One meal is eaten daily, shared by the entire Caravan in one location, a space formed inside a circle of wagons where one large fire is lit. During this time stories are told and profits counted.
Profit from the sales of goods goes into the combined coffers of the Caravan but is carefully marked and both respect and additional privileges are given to a dragon that can make a high profit for the Caravan. Earning power is a sign of high respect and the more skilled a dragon the more influence they have on the Caravan Leader's decisions. Those dragons who are not tradesmen or merchants, such as the Bloodletters, earn worth through their actions rather than through coin and are held in equal respect.
Due to the abundant variety in flight of origin there is no open worship of any of the dragon deities including Earthshaker. Individual dragons are encouraged to maintain small shrines in their own wagons to show their respects but overt shows of devotion are frowned upon as showing off.
The largest ceremony of religious significance is the Exaltation Ceremony held at Home Rock where dragons moving on from the Caravan are welcomed into the company of the Earthshaker to strengthen the flight in the battle for dominance. Smaller Ceremonies of Naming are held at Home Rock and New Home after a hatchling has made one journey between the two and is given a name.
Monogamous pairs are uncommon in the Caravan. Dragons who wish to bind themselves permanently to each other prepare a handmade token containing a stone of special importance to them to exchange as bonding. Mateship and producing offspring are seen as entirely unrelated to each other and adopted children are seen as just as legitimate as hatched ones.

Beastclans
The Caravan cannot afford the losses afforded by constant conflict with the Longneck tribes native to Dragonhome and have brokered a peace agreement. The Beastclan alliance will not attack the mantled dragons of the Caravan Rocksfall and in return the Caravan offers them the opportunity to trade and agrees to shelter and escort those who which to travel through dragon territory through having them pose as familiars.
The Bloodletters agree to flee from any conflict they may stumble into. In addition Beastclan familiars being auctioned by dragons will be bought by the Caravan and returned to their native lands in exchange for a hostage fee equal or greater than the cost of purchase.
To date this peace has held; the Caravan has not attacked or been attacked by the Beastclans and the flow of dragonmade goods for Beastclan goods and vice versa has earned the Caravan a tidy profit. Rather than engaging the Beastclans directly the Caravan has set a limit on how many permanent members of the Caravan there can be at any one time and hosts a mass Exaltation where the children of many Caravan members are sent to bolster the Earthshaker's forces and indirectly show their support for the victory of dragon kind.

Hoard
The Caravan Rocksfall prizes Gemstones, Scale armor, Minerals, Flourish jewelry and Teardrop jewelry, though the best way to gain their favor is gifts of Treasure and Gems. They are primarily insectivorous due to large numbers of Fae dragons and are always in need of more food.

Glossary
Slang spoken by members of the Caravan Rocksfall:

Boulder dashing: Telling lies.

Bloodletter: One who wears a Red Mantle, one whose work involves spilling blood especially a warrior, can be derogatory.

Courting the coalbeds: Dead and/or buried.

Cracked: Of a dragon, delusional or insane.

Damf: Literally meaning vapour this word is taken from the term for poisonous gases found while mining (Firedamp, Black Damp, White Damp, Stink Damp and After Damp) and applied to a unique kind of pollution, believed to travel through the air, resulting from any kind of ending or beginning and the spilling of blood. Belief in the lair is these events occur Damf from the dragon in question that spreads bad luck to those nearby and must be ritually purified by those who wear Mysterious Mantles. The belief is that the Damf is less like a physical contaminant that may result from such things and more like a curse of bad luck that can spread on contact.

Flash: A dragon with a fondness for bright color or excessive ornamentation, can be derogatory.

Geode: A dragon who seems ordinary but has hidden admirable qualities only seen under pressure, someone with hidden depths.

Greyling: Term for one who wears a Whisperer's Mantle, can be derogatory.

Heartstone: A rock of specific significance to a dragon that is kept close to them. A key component in a Matetoken. No two are the same and a dragon can instantly recognize their Heartstone among others. Pearlcatchers are believed to always have their pearl as their Heartstone. Breaking the Heartstone to make a Matetoken is seen as a great sacrifice as the part of the dragon's 'heart' that is given away will never return to their care.

Matetoken: A token of incredible skill and lavishness. It is always a handmade item in two or more pieces where each mate keeps one piece until they leave the Caravan or die. As accepting the Matetoken represents agreeing to a lifelong bond each is careful appraised before being accepted or rejected. Rejected Matetoken rapidly accrue Damf and must be destroyed as soon as possible. Selling one is punishable by death for the evil spirits that will form around it from the unpurified damf. A common object in the Caravan's scary stories.

Monumented: Term referring to a legendary hero of the Caravan who has earned enough to be externalized in the lore of the Lair i.e. a monumental hero.

Opal rush: Rhyming slang for strong romantic feelings or feelings of admiration towards another dragon, a crush, the dragon in question.

Pastsong: A long rhythmic poem containing information about the history of the Lair and of dragonkind itself sung during the Rockbreaker’s ceremony.

Pebble: A newly hatched dragon who has yet to be named.

Polish: Effort, hard work, (of a dragon) untidy in appearance e.g. in need of some polish.

Rock Head(ed): Of a dragon stubborn and unlikely to listen to reason, derogatory.

Rocks fall: Shortened form of clan motto, means that everything happens and the past cannot be changed, eventually everyone dies. Used to indicate a worry is pointless.

Rolling Rocks: A genre of music.

Shatter: Used as a strong oath i.e. Shatter it!

Shiny: Something very good, a general exclamation of approval.

Spooktale: A scary story told around the fire, usually to frighten Hatchlings, any other story the speaker does not believe in, a fiction.

Stonesprung: Term for something that has appeared suddenly or happening without warning, as if sprung from the stone itself.

Token: A small item used to show gratitude or affection between friends or allies. Usually some form of jewelry.

Worn: Something bad, a curse, (of a dragon) sickly looking.

Wraith: Term for one afflicted by a curse from the Cairnstone Rest or any fictional monster.

Harvest has been watching his daughter, Reaper. His "greatest success". He shall return at random to spy on her. (We have told him not to be creepy, but he is Harvest after all. Hopefully no one finds him) (Also Reaper's mother will have a full bio soon)

Harvestreaper has not been seen by the Clan of Falling Stars lately. We have sent his mate Hallowsblight to go investigate and it seems he has been lurking in the shadows around your caravan. Upon questioning we have learned that Harvest has (continued)
