Dragon Lore
Dusk had a hard start to life. Metal had been forged all over her body, it was so heavy that the young hatchling couldn't move at the time. She was shipped in a wooden box amongst other like her to a place unknown to her at the time. Once she got to this mysterious place her wooden crate was opened to reveal the face of an adult dragon, which like her own was covered in metal. The dragon started at her for a second before she was roughly grabbed by her metal by another dragon. Lucky for dusk the dragon that she had locked eyes with decided to take pity on the young hatchling and take her to a rescue that saved dragons like herself. They were able to remove almost all the metal on her body but sadly the metal around her face and parts of her neck and wings were forged into her hide and it would have been to dangerous to remove it. The dragoness didn't care though as she grew she allowed the metal to be a sign or the pain that she had overcome. Little did she know that wouldn't be the only pain she would be forced into. It's so unfair breeze thought, looking at all of the beautiful dragons around her. I had been here since the beginning I was the first of the clan. My mate Thunder and I had been here forever yet I have no say in anything. He was obsessed with the dragons covered in metal or as I liked to think of them as, freaks. They were an abomination to our kind, I know it's not their fault but still I don't want them to be apart of our clan. Some might think of me as jealous and maybe I was, I mean no one gave me a second glance. Even my own mate preferred the company of the other more beautiful dragons to mine. The worst of all was that stupid dusk, she had been one of the earlier metal freaks that we picked up and my mate had become infatuated with her. I mean it was fair I guess she was absolutely stunning, with her pink feathers and just a small amount of metal surrounding her that brought out her colors even more. I know that i'm unfair of course my mate should surround himself with beautiful dragons, it's what's best for him and in a way the clan. But it still hurts to be pushed into the shadows.
