The waters here are lifeless, not even the maren scouts dare venture near. The Forsaken Shallows are not empty, however. Hoards of treasure, piled high, now rusted and brittle sit inside lairs of dragons long gone.

Engraved stone tablets halted mid-word, food left mid-bite and in the centre of this forgotten city, sits a solitary nest. A nest which held two barnacle laden eggs. One which shadowed the other in size. A guardian, blue and white, a fae, purple and orange and they were the only proof dragons have lived here.

Ephron the Blue was the first to hatch. She did not stray far, tied to the place in a manner she did not understand. Where was the rest? Why were the waters still?

Not long after, the second tried to hatch but the fae was small, weak and did not have the strength to push through the outermost of his shell. Ephron heard the calls, distressed and entirely new.

Ephron and Gramma met then, her cracking the egg in ease despite her small claws. They did not understand. Hunting food was not necessary - the food did not rot, regardless of how much they aged.

By adolescence the two dragon had yet to meet any other. And still, no one came to check on them. No one came to teach them what this place was, what this place had been.

So, the two decided then to seek out other dragons in the hope to understand the only place they have called home. And understand whatever fate befell the city, because if happened once, it could happen again.

My username is more to do with my love of the Eevevolutions than water. (But Flareon and Vaporeon are always taken). It's also a bit of wordplay to do with hydrogen. I think that says all that needs to be said about me. =DD Message meeeee for gibber, chit-chat and general natter.
