Clan Info
The clan of the nine realms.
We search for our lost brothers and sisters, made from Ymir's body and those born of the gods. Mortal dragons are accepted and welcome here as well, and if one of your dragons is taken in here they will not be exalted.
If your dragon was purchased and they are on the front page, that means he or she is a god/goddess or a godlike dragon.
(of course, none of the Asgardian god dragons have, or claim to have, power anywhere near that of the eleven deities.)
The ancient texts, chapter one, Beginning
Long ago, the Æsir and Vanir were created from Ymir, the first giant. They existed separate from one another, sometimes comming together briefly to mate or fight. Soon other creatures were born or made, such as Surtur, who could not be classified with the gods. No one served anyone, and everyone fought only to live.
One day after he had won another battle against another god, Loki looked down at his wounds and wondered what was the point of fighting one another. Was this realy victory? Perhaps not. He dismissed these thoughts and went on with his day, trying to learn to master his magic, as usual. However the thoughts kept nagging at his mind for days and days. "What if we didn't have to fight? What if I want to stop? What if we instead fought for each other?" And the one that distracted him the most, "What if some of the others felt the same?"
Some time passed as these thoughts plagued Loki. Meanwhile, Vidar, god of forests, came near to Loki's home spreading his trees and plants with him. Loki saw him nearing and prepared for a fight. He went outside and stood in front of his home, waiting. Vidar drew near and stopped, staring at him. Loki tried to look scarry and intimidating, but he just looked tired. He was tired of fighting.
"How many have you fought?" Loki asked, when Vidar didn't move, "How many have you fought, just to be alone again?"
Vidar didn't answer, but he flicked his tail.
Loki hoped this meant he was hesitant to fight. "What's the point in winning if victory means to be lonely? Is it realy victory to worry constantly that another will come to challenge your place?"
Vidar sat down. "What do you say we do instead? I can see no other alternative, but I will listen to your words."
He must be very tired of being alone to listen to the god of lies, Loki thought. "I've grown tired of being lonely. I want to fight together with my brothers and sisters. I have a den but it isn't a home. I want to sleep well knowing I have friends, rather than enemies who would kill me while I sleep."
