Clan of the Black Flame

Lore WiP!

General idea:

Lore WIP begin:
The Shifting Expanse was more lively than usual. The storms whipped violently overhead the Lightning Flight's land. Despite the thunder that vibrated the air, the roar of the "employee" dragons drowned out the ground shaking cracks. The Thundercrack Carnivale was in full force, and the dragons of the Lightning Flight took full advantage of the Stormcatcher demanding their full attention. Laughter, food, dancing, and plenty of lightning kept the night lively. Not far from the chaos of the party was a small clutch of eggs. The mother of the clutch was no where in site, presumably in the crowd of dragons that danced and drank the night away. Even a dragon at full attention may have had a hard time spotting the young female harpy that loomed in the trees not far from the clutch. Her eyes scanned the eggs before looking nervously towards the laughing dragon pack nearby. Harpies that lived around the Shifting Expanse had a pretty good relationship with the dragons that resided there....but her job was more important to her than a potential war between dragons and harpies.
The young harpy gripped her bag that hugged her body, eyeing the eggs before inhaling sharply. It was time. The harpy darted silently forward, her clawed hand gripping the first dragon egg she could get ahold of. Quickly but gently, she stuffed the egg into the bag that hung around her neck. The harpy looked up quickly, eyeing the dragons that merrily drank and ate nearby. As her hand extended for another egg, the rough voice of a dragon erupted from the laughter. "Is there someone by the clutch?" the voice snapped. The harpy inhaled sharply, dropping the egg back into the nest before shooting into the darkness, the blood pumping through her as adrenaline erupted through her body. A male Mirror dragon was at the nest almost immediately. The harpy began to panic, praying the potion she had been provided kept it's word. The mirror male eyed the eggs as a female Guardian dragon approached behind him. "What is wrong Anvil?" she asked, looking over his shoulder. The mirror dragon erupted with rage and as if on cue, thunder vibrated the air around them. "SOMEONE TOOK AN EGG" he screamed, whipping his head around violently as he looked for the culprit. The harpy pushed herself into the darkness more, her body vibrating with terror. The dragons had immediately flipped from joyous to outraged in a matter of seconds. Their nostrils flared as their heads whipped around violently, trying to located the scent of the one that stole the egg. The harpy watched as silently as she could, terrified that the pounding of her heart would give her away. At the first moment she had, the harpy fled, leaving behind two angry parents and a nest with one less egg...
