Should clan lore align with FR canon?
Aeralin's Clan
Clan Info
(My clan lore does not follow FR canon, my dragons' story elements and breath types do not match up with their in-game flight, and their lineages aren't accurate to site records. Read the world lore, the race customs and cultures, and the race biology if you want to know more. Some parts are blank because my ideas are brief and sporadic. They are often looked over and sometimes changed and added to, so check on them if you haven't in a while. I use Seventh Sanctum's dragon generator to help me get character ideas. Dragons in Aspora are normally viewed as a rather prideful group, as they have a long history of wars and arrogance. There is a rift in their culture though, and only the Old-world dragons really fit the stereotype. They fiercely try to uphold independence from other races and don't really want to rely on anyone.
Old-world dragons are focused on integrity and appearances and will put their social image above all else. They often try to shield and push their hatchlings into the same roles, and dislike rebellion. Often dragons aligned with the New-world point of view will find themselves estranged from their old-world relatives.
New-world dragons are a recently popular standpoint in draconic culture, as younger dragons see how awful the anger and distrust of their peers can be. New world dragons are often dreamers, wanting the world to be at peace, and they are willing to fight for it. They are more likely to get along with other races and encourage nonconformity.
Social scuffles have popped up during trying times where the New-world challenges the Old-world, and though numbers have grown the New-world has eventually been pushed back every time. They have not given up just yet.
This is a record of various dragons from Aspora. People from many places and living status are immortalized here. Hopefully, you can learn some things about and from them.
