A black, smoking peak rises far in the distance, and spires of black stone break the grassy earth. Bordering the vast, wind-torn plains beneath the vortex, the land here isn't quite as hospitable as one would expect from a land of music and laughter, though a welcoming silhouette breaks the grey sky in the distance...

Welcome to the Cloudwatch Outpost, maintained mainly by one clan of wanderers, creators, and morally-ambiguous seers (there seems to be a strange number of them among our kind). Merchants, couriers, and many other folk find brief respite here as they seek their path. There seems to be a few new faces every time you visit. Who will you find today?

A hodgepodge of caves, buildings, and wooden walkways strung between spires of stone, the Cloudwatch Outpost is an impressive feat of spontaneity for such a small village; more of a glorified watchtower than anything, crammed into the nooks and hollows of a jagged outcropping of stone. Buildings and dens are built into the sides of hills or rocky spires, strung with lanterns, wind chimes, and wooden pathways decorated with colorful paper banners. But the largest of them all is a tall stone peak with a windmill balanced precariously on the top, a murder of greyish corvids fluttering about its blades with shrill, alarming cries that can be heard all throughout town. Who lives there, you wonder?
