The Fortress is a sprawling system of tunnels, an easy escape from the cold or the heat, whichever a visitor may wish. The heart of the system, where the dragons that are considered part of the clan reside, is always Earth-bound, though those who leave often exit far from Earth territory. Although many dragons use this tunnel system as a way of moving without detection, only the dragons considered to be part of the clan may move from one side of Sornieth to the other in a night or reside within the heart of the tunnels. This honor is typically given to the dragons who have come to permanently reside within the clan, but some wanderers who often use the systems have found themselves walking many miles in an hour or wandering into the heart of the system, which already had a chamber for them prepared.
