Crafted himself in his soul's light, haunted yet by the past's fright. Trapped he was, free he is. His strength and courage still lives. Exiled and a long way from home, one day he will return to the throne. Once the deed of his justice is done, then will they see the rise of the blessed sun.

Three groups reside in this lair, the Clan of the Rising Sun (Alcides-Gutsy), the Hellhounds (Sheila-Merric) and the Skycats (Greattail-Kili).

The Clan of the Rising Sun lives in the Abiding Boneyard. They are a Clan of a special type of dragons called Blessed Ones, who were blessed by their deity with powers beyond that of normal dragons. They are a communist society, and their Clan doesn't wander.

The Hellhounds are a group of dragons who worship the Shade, along with a strange deity-like figure called "Naomi." They believe they must sacrifice as many dragons as they can to please the Shade and their deity. They are nomadic, following the Blessed Ones wherever they go. They are also capitalistic.

The Skycats are a group of dragons who do not serve any specific deity, but instead dedicate themselves to fighting the Shade and Shade-touched dragons. They are nomadic and capitalistic.
