Cradle of the Nox Aeterna

In the midst of a clearing near the riverbank, on the edge of the Tangled Wood, you can stumble upon the hollow frame of an old weeping maple resting on a pile of boulders covered in moss. It's the Cradle of the Nox Aeterna, a multi-tiered and multi-faceted lair for a very varied clan. All around, countless glowing mushrooms lit up the path, giving the impression of walking in a field of wisps. A number of tunnels then spread under the pile of rocks, leading to each dragon's den. For those who prefer nesting outside, the intricate branches of the maple provide the perfect hiding place, surrounded in shadows. The nesting grounds remain hidden in the deepest part of the lair, a tangle of dark roots and twigs covered in bioluminescent fungi. Anthea, a tiny but very determined fae, is the self-appointed leader of the clan, along with her mate and warden Diarmuid. Most of the other inhabitants of the Cradle are dragons who wandered into the Tangled Wood for any reason and were ~~compelled~~ offered to stay. The only rules established by the Matriarch is to always be loyal to her and pose no threat to the wellbeing of the clan. For that reason, each dragon is free to choose which role to fulfill, according to their interests and strengths. Lastly, it has been ruled that -as far as the Cradle is concerned- only those who have proven their worth will be given the privilege of being exalted, as it is considered the greatest honor to serve under the wing of the Shadowbinder. When the exalting is due, all the members of the clan gather in the clearing to salute their comrade, and wish them a future of glory with a ritual for good luck performed by the Shadow Priestess. The clan motto is omnes una manet nox, for an eternal night awaits. And they will be ready.
