Shadowspinner's Clan

In the darkness of the Obscured Crescent, where Shadowbinder spreads her gloom, is the lair of the Shadowspun Haven. Their large lair is made of many intersecting caves, lit by the luminescent mushrooms, lanterns filled firebugs and faeries, and the newest experiments of the clan's patriarch. Legend has it that the lair was gets derives its name from the fact that it was created from Shadowbinder's shadows, though whether this is fact or legend, no one is quite sure.

The Shadowspun Haven is a lover of books and stories. Their lair is filled with all kinds of information in books, scrolls, even carved stone tablets. Their clan is open to all seekers of knowledge, for however long they want to stay. In the deeper reaches of their lair are stacks and stacks of books, tablets, and scrolls, safe from harm and prying eyes.

The Haven is a safe place not only for books and knowledge, but also for dragons who are in need of a safe home, no matter what the reason. As the leader, Arias treats the dragons of the Haven as equals, though her word is final when it comes to decisions. Arguments are brought to her and Talren, and violence only results if there is no other choice. The members of the Haven become a second family to each other an any outsiders who attempt to harm either the knowledge or the members of the Haven are swiftly met with the entire clan's wrath.

Despite the cautious way that many other flights treat Shadow clans, the Shadowspun clan has formed alliances with a couple of clans from other flights. Most notable of these is their alliance with the Vea clan of the ice. Many of the dragons from each clan have found mates within the other, leading to a long happy friendship. If other clans are polite and willing to share their own tales, then more alliances may be formed in the future.
