Also, your new Bombur, Eowyn, and Eomer fandragons look so good! I can tell you had fun dressing them up, because all the apparel layering you did is both brilliant and aesthetically pleasant for all of them. Really reminds me I should rewatch The Hobbit and LotR sometime soon too!

Oh my god yes, HANNIBAL. I was absolutely obsessed with Silence of the Lambs when it first came out, I was thirteen and I had that film memorised before the year was out. I did the same with Hannibal Rising years later, and I really love the books. Though I try to forget that one movie exists. So naturally I was torn when the show came out, until I watched that "this is my design" intro and got instantly hooked. I still love it, but it leaves me feeling like I missed out on something I can't quite place. And several things I certainly can. But then, a lot of my favourite things do that; I have a feeling that also being an NGE fan at a young age might have warped my sense of enjoyment somewhat, lol. Can't tell if I'm just being masochistic anymore lmao.

(Actually, if I remember right I THINK season one follows more closely with the books, albeit spliced together with the Six Of Crows characters, which I am absolutely not complaining about in the slightest, I love those guys so much. But that's a pretty common formula for a first season of an adapted fantasy series, sad as it is.)

It follows the books to a degree where it actually tries, but leaves out some pretty huge chunks of story and then veers off around the middle somewhere. (Season two Kirigan with the scars and the angry though, daaamn.) Honestly though, I don't really mind that much, especially since a lot of what was cut or changed was just more Mal/Alina trudging through the world being insufferable, and I much prefer Kaz and Inej anyway. Not sure if I'm disappointed or not that it didn't end the same though. Kirigan had an interesting finish, but I wasn't sold on the fact that he "needed (extreme) redemption", especially not the way it was carried out in the book. I don't want to accidentally spoil anything you don't want spoiled, but while I did overall enjoy the books, particularly certain parts, they also were kind of... unsatisfying? It's been a while, and I blitzed through them all in a row, which tends to make things blur together for me, lol, but I am always way too happy to talk books. ♡
