A clan nestled on the border of the Earth and Shadow Flights, the Diorite Rift is a clan where all of whom reside found their way to their home by chance - some arguing by fate. No matter how you got here one thing is for certain: when you're here, you're here forever.

Ensnared between ribs of stone and heaving lungs of steam, the Diorite Rift seems to be a dead and lonely place secluded from the usual bustle of the rest of the Earth Flight's domain. Found nestled inside of a large fissure, getting to the Rift is as much of an adventure as exploring the place itself.

Thorny vines and clouds of shadowy smog drift within its tunnels from its bordering Shadow territories, and the notes of a tragic song drift lazily through the barren walkways, telling a story of ruin long since forgotten. This place reeks of loneliness, and its paths seem to writhe and warp like a living being. Its inhabitants care for it like one would a carnivorous beast.

The claustrophobic tunnels open without warning to sunlight, a gaping maw yawning above your head and freeing you from the confines of the ground. A large city spans the open wound and life takes over, dragons and beasts moving here and there, selling wares and bartering foods and goods. How this huge canyon escapes the eye of those wandering the expanse above is beyond you; the forces collected here to hide the dust and shadow coated city is yet to be discovered.

A shoulder brushes against you as you travel and a whisper finds its way to your ear:
