Blueshadowbeast's Clan

(Hiya i'm Blueshadow (you can call me Blue if you like), i'm from the UK and i'm 8 hours ahead of FR time. I am currently trying to develop lore for my clan, so ages and sizes of dragons may not always line up with the real values. Also my lore will not always follow the real offspring/parents of some dragons as I find it kind of weird when one dragons has like 5 different breeding partners. Below you can read some opening lore if you wish >^-^< )

Rain hammers down through the trees and lightning crackles overhead as you rush through Wispwillow Grove, looking for a place of shelter. The moon is obscured by storm clouds but clumps of bioluminescent fungi dimly light up the forest ahead of you. Beyond the patches of fungi the forest is shrouded in darkness and you can barely see more than a few feet. The wet ground makes your paws sink into the ground with every step and you feel your strength ebbing away. As you swerve to avoid a tall patch of brambles you feel the ground shift underneath you and you begin to tumble downward, over and over again...

Eventually the ground levels out and you slow to a stop. You wearily get up but flinch as you feel a sharp pain in your back leg. You turn your head and see a few sharp thorns have broken off some brambles you fell on and are now digging into your flesh. You look around and flashes of lightning briefly illuminate your surroundings. You see the steep slope that you fell down stretching out on both sides and ahead of you lies brambles as far as you can see. You decide to try to climb up the slope as you'd rather not get spiked by more brambles, but your paws sink into the wet ground and you're already exhausted. As you turn back around you swear you see a pair of purple eyes but they seem to vanish as soon as you see them. Those eyes must belong to a shadow flight dragon, maybe they'll help me, or at least be willing to help me in exchange for some trinkets. You start to weave between the brambles, doing your best to avoid the snagging thorns. Slowly but surely you make your way through the twisting brambles to where you saw the pair of eyes. As you draw closer, you see a gaping hole in the steep slope. This must be that dragon's cave, you take a few paces towards the opening but pause just before you enter the cave. This dragon might not take too kindly to a stranger intruding into their cave, and you're already weary from your injuries. You shake the thought away, there's not really any alternative, you shudder at the thought of staying out in the woods all night. The rain seems to start pelting down even heavier and lightning crackles overhead, with a deep breath you step into the maw of the cave, feeling yourself being swallowed by the darkness.


Your eyes slowly adjust to the darkness and you see a single tunnel stretching out in front of you, its quite wide and tall with plenty of room for you to walk through. You pad slowly through the tunnel, your injured leg slowing you a bit, but you feel much better being out of the storm. The ground beneath your paws feels well-worn and you wonder how many dragons may have used this tunnel. As you approach a curve in the tunnel you see a faint light, it seems like you were about to meet whoever lives in this cave. Just before you are about to see the source of the light it suddenly extinguishes. You suddenly feel very unsettled and vulnerable, it seems like the owner of this cave doesn't take kindly to intruders. Fear freezes you in place, not wanting to take another step into the darkness without knowing what awaits you.

You see eyes slowing appearing in the darkness, first one pair, then two, then more than you can count, appearing from all sides. Just before the crushing fear makes you bolt back out the tunnel a spark of fire erupts far away in the darkness. The fire seems to ignite something and rivers of white light start to spread along the ceiling of the cave. The dark cave is suddenly illuminated and you squint against the bright light, when your eyes have adjusted you open them to see numerous dragons standing in a large cavern. Most are staring at you with curiosity but a few flash hostile glares at you. As you look around the cavern your eyes become fixed on a pair of mirror dragons that are perched on a rock jutting out from the back of the cavern. One is clad in shining moonscale armour and the other has donned a mixture of filigree armour. The mirror in filigree armour sits motionless her expression unreadable, but the other mirror dragon takes a step towards the edge of the rock.

With a smile he says "Welcome stranger, I assume you are here because you are seeking shelter from the storm."

You respond nervously, "Yes, I-I was travelling through Wispwillow Grove but I lost my f-footing and fell. Then I saw this c-cave and hoped to find shelter."

The mirror dragon gracefully hops of the rock of paces towards you, "You can relax friend no harm will come to you here. My name is Fenarel and I lead this clan alongside my partner Akura." He flicks his muzzle towards the mirror dragon still perched on the rock, then looks back to you and stops a few feet away from you. "So what is your name?"

You say "My name is ..."
You are suddenly interrupted as Feneral takes several paces towards you with a worried expression, he gestures towards your injured leg. "You're hurt!"

"Well when i lost my footing i fell into some brambles" you say quietly.

Feneral gestures to a white Pearlcatcher who hurries over, then Fenarel says "This is Nari, she is one of our clan's healers, once she's patched you up, come speak with me." Fenarel then turns and heads back to Akura. As Nari leads you to a nest of soft moss the other dragons in the cavern disperse, returning to their normal routine. You think how lucky you were to stumble across this friendly clan...
